No domingo apeteceu-me passear pelo centro histórico da minha hometown.
A câmara municipal fez uma encomenda (quero dizer, "concurso") ao arquitecto Gonçalo Byrne para requalificar toda a zona histórica de Alcobaça, e, como se pode ver pelas fotos que tirei, resultou isto. Onde antes havia árvores ao acaso e parque de estacionamento, há agora uma espécie de malha geométrica de campos de ténis. O aspecto é lunar mas vai ficar mesmo assim - sem ornamentação, sem árvores, sem bancos de jardim, sem pessoas. A depuração de hoje contra o gótico de ontem. Alcobaça, uma cidade do futuro lunar.
Parece-me que à segunda chuvada de Inverno tudo isto se transformará numa enorme praia fluvial, mas, como estou sempre à espera que alguma coisa mude naquela terra, tudo bem.

As fotografias do meu baptizado foram todas tiradas aqui, no cenário antigo. O meu pai usava patilhas até ao queixo, a minha mãe usava uma bandelete vermelha – é assim que aparecem nas fotografias.

Nos arredores encontrei uma loja de souvenirs com uma montra interessante. Na esquerda, um suposto S. Rafael ou Anjo Rafael, a tentar mostrar a perna aos fiéis. Ao centro, uma criança de cabeça desproporcionada numa cena mui bucólica com o seu melhor amigo cachorro. À direita, um menino a ter sexo com um cão.

Olá! Costumo vir aqui ao teu blog, mas hoje tive de comentar. ;) Infelizmente a mentalidade deste tipo de "(des)arranjos" passa por: vamos aumentar o número de espaços verdes. O problema é que não passa disso mesmo... espaços que são verdes. Esquecem as árvores, bancos, etc, que de certeza tornariam esse espaço de que falas (e de que gosto muito) mais agradável. Mentalidades desarranjadas diria eu...
Fui apenas uma vez a Alcobaça (no ano passado), e nessa altura o espaço que falas estava sob intervenção. Mas, a julgar pelas fotos que apresentas, gostava mais do cenário antigo. O aspecto actual não causa uma sensação de evidência (como provavelmente seria a intenção), mas sim de afastamento. Ao longe parece um campo por arar. Será que se vai transformar num parque radical? É lamentável o que fizeram ao vosso ex-libris. Infelizmente não é caso único.
Em discussão com um amigo meu no fim de semana, ele afirmava que não considera a arquitectura uma forma de arte. Começo a pensar que talvez tenha alguma razão.
Segundo sei, todas as requalificações em áreas circudantes de monumentos vão seguir esta estética de libertar o espaço e o campo de visão. Eu não desgosto, porque há pormenores que foram repensados com isto. A zona de esplanadas agora é mesmo uma zona de esplanadas, e cortaram os carros. Por outro lado, não há jardim para as crianças e velhinhos. Não sei. Eu gostei da mudança, e por agora fico-me por aqui, ainda não decidi se gosto do visual. Mas acho que gosto. LOL.
BAH, não acredito! e agora? quando eu sair do clinic aos ziguezagues, para cima de que arbustos é que me vou atirar, hein?
